Venom Foundation Launches Hackathon With $225K Prize Pool – Who Will Win?

• Venom Foundation has launched a virtual hackathon, with a $225,000 prize pool.
• The event is organized in partnership with DoraHacks, Developer DAO and Hacken and will kick off on 8th May 2023.
• Developers can submit their projects before 10th June 2023 and the most notable judges are Peter Knez and David Atkinson.

Venom Foundation Launches Hackathon

The Venom Foundation has teamed up with DoraHacks, Developer DAO and Hacken to launch its first-ever virtual hackathon. The event aims to equip developers with all the tools and resources necessary to start building on the Venom blockchain. While registrations begin on the 27th of April 2023, the hackathon is set to kick off on the 8th of May, 2023.

Testnet Launch

This hackathon comes on the heels of Venom’s testnet launch which went live earlier this week. This development welcomes a new influx of users and developers as they will be able to test and debug dApps and blockchain protocols while also providing users with a firsthand experience of these dApps. The ultimate goal of this testnet is to promote innovation within the ecosystem.

Organizing Partners

Venom’s organizing partner for this hackathon is DoraHacks – a global hackathon organizer and one of the most active Web3 developer incentive platforms. Meanwhile, Developer DAO & Hacken will provide marketing & incentives support for participants who submit their projects before 10th June 2023.

Judges Panel

Once project submissions are complete they will be evaluated by a panel of judges each having their own individual expertises; some notable ones being Peter Knez (Ex CIO Blackrock) & David Atkinson (co-founder Holochain). Christopher Louis Tsu (CTO at Venom Technology) who is also one of the judges said: “We’re thrilled to host this hackathon as it will be a catalyst for innovation & creativity within our ecosystem”

Tracks Available

Developers have three tracks available – (i) Web3, NFTs & Gaming; (ii) DeFi; (iii) Tools & Infrastructure – upon which they can develop their projects over five weeks period from 8th May – 10th June 2023 . This provides an opportunity for them to create soulbound tokens, stablecoins or crypto wallets among other things & push forward boundaries in decentralized ecosystems .
